Position:  Head Section of Transmission and Substation

About the role: 

• ·        The leader of the transmission and substation (TL&SS) is required to work on a key transmission and substation for the hydropower project or other projects. 
• ·        Working closely with Business Lead and Managers, Project Directors with a focus on design and construction.
• ·        Coordinating all aspects of the TL&SS design, including being responsible for the design
•       Developing or verifying the technical scope of a project. 
• ·        Prepare timeframe, Project Master Schedule, and basic budgetary / BOQ.
•       Participating in design coordination meetings and addressing critical issues 
• ·        Lead a small team of engineers and designers and spearhead the development of your team. 
• ·        Prepare concept design and participate with the Consultant for a feasibility study. Prepare TOR and technical support in the bidding process. 
• ·        Provide technical expertise and guidance across various project stages, from design to implementation. 
• ·        Produce / review design documentation, specifications, and project deliverables. 
• ·        Apply a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles to create and deliver practical and economical solutions that meet requirements. 
• ·        Coordinate the production of documentation, specifications, and project deliverables within agreed project timeframes and budget. 
• ·        Manage the quality control, safety, administration/finance, and logistics of the project by leading the team and monitoring their performances. 
• ·        Ensures materials and equipment received meet contract specifications and are properly inventoried and stored. 
• ·        Site survey or investigation and site/construction management. 
• ·        Ensure project documents are complete. 
• ·        Other activities as required from time to time. 

Requirement: 

• ·        Bachelor/Master's Degree in civil/structural engineering, electrical engineering, or construction management (electrical engineering preferred.) 
• ·        Minimum 6-8 years of work experience as Site Manager for Power projects substations/transmission lines - (preferably in funded HV Electrical projects). 
• ·        Ability to read contract documents and ensure projects are meeting contractual requirements 
• ·        Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others on project-related activities. 
• ·        Project planning and scheduling skills. 
• ·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• ·        Software relevant to the role.
