Nam Kong 2 power plant is located in La mong Village, Phouvong District, Attapeu Province, which has an installed capacity of 66 MW. The construction project of Nam Kong 2 hydroelectric dam has a concession agreement with the government of Lao PDR on January 31, 2013. The original developer is Khong Ang Attapeu Electric Company Limited. Nam Kong 2 Hydroelectric Project started construction in 2011 and completed construction in June 2018.
