On 23 May 2019 a delegation led by BCEL Deputy Managing Director, Mr Viengsouk Chounthavong, Mr Bounluan Ounthalavong, Mr Kit Sangsinxay, M. Khamsawang Kilavong and Mr Savannimith Somvanvichith visited hydropower projects in Dakchom and Dakcheung Districts, Attapeu Province and were warmly welcomed by CSE directors including Director of Finance Mr Litsamy Lasavong, Director of Development Projects, Souwat Sisoutham, Mr. Fongsamout Duangchay and the Nam Emoun Hydropower Project Manager.

The visit was part of the yearly review of the progress of projects under operation or under construction. The visitors also visited the field including the access roads to the powerhouse and camps under construction at Nam Emoun.

The BCEL Deputy Managing Director asked the Nam Emoun Hydropower Project about the challenges during their work and provided some suggestions and guidelines to ensure the completion of the project is on time.

On 24 May 2019, the committees from BCEL and CSE visited the Nam Kong 2 Hydropower Plant in Lamong Village, Phouvong District, Attapeu Province.  They were warmly welcomed by the Plant Manager and the Director of Production, Mr. Samane Boumy and were shown the process of power generation.  They visited the power house, saddle dam, water storage reservoir, camps and other parts of the plant.
