Chaluen Sekong Power Co., Ltd. Donates Relief Funds to Provinces Affected by Natural Disasters
On the afternoon of June 15, 2021, Chaluen Sekong Energy Co., Ltd., represented by Mr. Somsamith Suvanalath, Vice President of Chaluen Sekong Energy Company, donated 50 million kip to the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Represented by Ms. Khamchan Vongsaenboun, Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment, to contribute to the relief of the Lao people affected by natural disasters and the rehabilitation of natural disasters occurring throughout the country.
Due to the continuous heavy rains from 11-14 June 2021 as a result of Typhoon (Typhoon Kokuma) and the southwest monsoon, strong winds swept over Xayabury and the northern part of Laos, causing flash floods, landslides and floods. Flooding of production areas, damage to some roads, broken power poles, the implementation of disaster relief, the provincial, district and district disaster management committees, as well as the provincial and central disaster management committees, have joined forces with the national defense force to provide emergency response assistance.
