Chaleun Sekong Energy Company Limited (CSE) and Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) signed a power purchase agreement in Hanoi on 04 January 2020.

The CSE Chairman, Mr Chanthanom Phommany, and delegates participated in the signing ceremony and signed the power purchase agreements of Nam Kong 2 Hydropower Plant, Nam Kong 3 Hydropower and Nam Emoun Hydropower Projects with the EVN Director, Mr Tran Dinh Nhan, in the presence of the Lao Prime Minister, Thongloun Sisoulith, and the Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, during the 42nd meeting of the Inter-governmental Committee.

The agreement is one of the most successful achievements of CSE in selling power to a neighbouring country and in developing the export in the electrical energy sector of Laos.
